UPDATE:   BOWSER IS IN FOSTER CARE with a family in NC. We will update his status as he begins his treatment for heart worms and as he learns how wonderful it is to be in a loving home.

Bowser, age 6, was surrendered to a kill shelter by his owners because he attacked a neighbor’s small dog. Neither he nor the small dog was neutered. No details beyond that.

Bowser is heartworm positive. Fortunately, his heart and lungs sound fine and he is asymptomatic so we hope that he can be successfully treated.

We need a good foster home without male dogs or small dogs or cats for him to rest and receive his heartworm treatment. Bowser needs to learn good manners so he doesn’t jump up on people. He does pretty well on leash but can learn to be a great and grateful leash-walked Airedale.

We do not know how he is with small children, but he greets people in a friendly, happy manner. Can you make room in your home and heart for Bowser?
