Transport volunteering is easy and fun.

One of the most important volunteer roles is getting a dale into rescue or getting one to a forever home via transport. ARG has volunteers who “orchestrate” transport for rescue Airedales, sometimes with many legs to the journey. Volunteering to drive one of those legs is easy, fun, and really satisfying.

Transport almost always happens on a weekend when folks are not engaged in work. Typical transports are 1 to 2 hours from your home. You meet at a public restaurant or hotel parking lot, carefully exchange the dog and paperwork and off you go. Times and telephone numbers are exchanged beforehand so everyone knows the plan.

If you would like to volunteer to help move a needy dog to a forever home, just write Christina Prange at mcprange@aol.com and let her know. Thanks!
