Jacques is the best guy ever! He loves cats and kids and other dogs. He really loves his mealtimes and treats! (Jacques could stand to lose a few lbs). Jacques lived a lot of his life outdoors, not getting a lot of attention but you would never know it. Jacques fit into the the luxuries of home life very easily.
While in ARG care he went to see a groomer and the groomer removed several huge mats from between his toes. He feels much better to be shaved and no matted fur. He has crated however in foster care, he prefers to sleep all night in the dog room with the resident sister girl dales…not a sound from anyone. One of the sister dales, Bellah has let him know she is boss and he is ok with that. He lives in foster care with human kids who are 13, 12, 11, 9, and 7. When Jacques got up on the couch, he was immediately told “down” and he got right back off. He is drawn to food but if you say “go lay down” he will walk away.
He is a lover! He will rub his head all over you and if you sit on the floor next to him, he will scoot forward until his front legs and head are in your lap! He snores! 🙂 He seems a bit nervous in the car…he shakes and doesn’t sit down. He doesn’t seem to mind it, I think he’s just unsure of where he’s going.
Jacques has a few lumps that are not thought to be anything which require medical attention . He is HW negative. He weighs about 70lb
Jacques required medical attention when he came into ARG care. His foster family took him to grooming appointments, medical appointments, required surgery and of course gave TLC throughout this time. The foster family decided to adopt Jacques too! They could not part with him after being in their lives and he lives happily ever after.
