Jackson – waiting at rainbow bridge

Healthy snacks can’t hurt. Thanks to his loving foster mom, his many friends and contributors, and the dedicated vets at NCSU Vet Teaching Hospital, Jackson is improving.

This sweet 9-year-old completed 20 radiation treatments before encountering severe pain that put him in the hospital for three days of critical care. Jackson is home now and his tumor is diminished, however he is still on eight pain meds a day. And one carrot.

Like most ‘Dales, Jackson has smiled and wagged through the toughest parts.

Our brave boy lost his fight not to the cancer but through other medical complications. We will always remember his strong spirit, his tireless enthusiasm for all the medical professionals he met and his deep bravery. RIP dear Jackson.
