Landry, Male/Neutered, 3 years old, TN, Airedale Rescue Group, ADOPTED April 2021

Landry finds himself in need of a new place to call home.  He is just a bit too much for the people who have him.  They love Landry and are so thankful they saved him, but Landry needs a home better suited to him.

Name:           Landry
Breed:          Airedale Terrier
Age:               3 years DOB 05/14/2018
Gender:       Male – Neutered
Weight:        57 pounds
Microchipped:  Yes, that will be given to my adopter
Vaccinations:     Had all of them and then some
Heartworms:     Negative.  I was treated for those nasty worms and I am HW negative, but I will need another test soon
Lyme:                I don’t know what this is but it sounds like I would not like it.
History:            I was a private adoption by someone and now being given to ARG.
Crate-Trained:  I use the crate occasionally.  It is wire so I can see out and I am used to being alone from 4-6 hours.
Fence:          I am used to being leash walked but I am sure I would love a fenced yard. I will not go to a home with an electric fence – Yikes!
Kids:             I’ve only seen them from a distance.
Dogs:           I bark – bark – bark at every dog I see, but when I meet them one-on-one I think I want to play.
Cats:              I really don’t know what a cat is so let’s say, no.

Other things you should know about me:   I am housebroken and like to bark at everything, like many young and exuberant boy Airedale.  I bark when someone new enters my home.  I am a good leash walker if no other dogs are around. If dogs are around, I go a bit crazy by bark and lunge. Grooming is not the most fun but I tolerate it.  I do get a little fuzzy about my paws and face.  I love car rides and I am a good eater.

I am sometimes mouthy like many young Airedales and will put my mouth on your hands or arms but not bite.   I am affectionate when I want to be (typical Airedale), athletic, and extremely smart (nudged opened the door to get into the yard!
